Brian D. Zimmerman is president of Securian Advisors MidAmerica, Inc., with offices located throughout the state of Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas. He has been in the business since graduating from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1979 and currently serves in the role of president in the firm.

Brian founded FinanciaLife Resources Group in 1984 and merged with Cauldwell Financial Group, a West Des Moines company, in 1997 to form Strategic Resources. In 2003, the firm announced its merger with Southwest Financial, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Today the firm has 50 representatives and 20 staff people spread out over its territory.

Brian lives in Hiawatha, Iowa with his wife Julie. They have two children, Maria who lives in Cedar Rapids and Kyle in Chicago. He is a member of GAMA and NAIFA. Brian and Julie are avid Hawkeye fans and enjoy traveling.
