Jeff has been associated with the financial services industry since 1986. In the early years, Jeff worked with his clients in areas of life insurance and investment strategies. In 1994, Jeff started Burroughs Consulting Group, focusing in the areas of estate planning, buy-sell agreements, pension and profit sharing plans, deferred compensation and asset management services for clients around the entire state of Iowa. Jeff's marketing concentration is in the construction industry, quarry and mining, trucking, manufacturing, retail and telemarketing companies. Jeff is a member of Associated General Contractors of Iowa, the Iowa Limestone Producers, Asphalt Pavers Association, Master Builders and the Iowa Motor Truck Association.

Jeff and his wife, Jane, have lived in Cedar Rapids since 1987. They have two children, Joe and Sara.

Jeff enjoys golfing, fishing, music, sports and being with his family, friends and clients.
