Joel entered the insurance and financial advisory business in 1980 following his graduation from Iowa State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Double Major in Economics and Industrial Administration. Joel specializes in Retirement and Estate Planning.
In September 1984, Joel received his LUTCF designation from the National Association of Life Underwriters, and in October 1993, he received his Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College, Bryn Maw, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Society of Financial Professionals, and also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Joel and his wife, Carol, have two children, Lesley and Matthew. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and most outside activities.
