Dick began his career as an insurance agent in 1964.

His main mission is to help clients reach their financial goals and help analyze and implement strategies to address their financial problems, utilizing all resources including life insurance, retirement programs and other wealth accumulation and distribution strategies. Secondly, to help minimize the impact of taxes and other factors which would otherwise limit the ability to pass to heirs maximum results.*

Dick and his wife, JoAnn, have four children, Becky, Rick, Steve and Robin and have twelve grandchildren. They have lived in Burlington all of their lives and enjoy antiques and Burlington, Iowa memorabilia.

Dick is, and has been a volunteer in numerous youth and community organizations and has a special devotion to Burlington High School and the Athletic Booster Club.
